All too often, professional athletes are forced to choose between the sport they love and valuable education. We thought this was a problem, so we created a solution. IDA allows potential athletes to develop their sporting skills without impacting their opportunities for further education. By providing an industry-leading football development programme alongside an exceptional education from a world-class university, IDA opens the doors for players to venture into the professional world equipped with the skills they need to succeed. Players can take full advantage of the University of Sheffield’s outstanding sporting facilities, as well as the English Institute of Sport – an elite performance centre based in Sheffield and home to several national sporting teams. Players can also access strength and conditioning support, sports science information, and performance analysis services.
