About Inspired Minds Tuition
I’m Julie Clarke, an outstanding primary school teacher and private tutor with thirty years’ teaching experience. I have spent the last eleven years as a Deputy Head Teacher at primary schools in Birmingham and Walsall. I have taught all subjects within the primary curriculum from early years through to year 6. I have also tutored pupils on a 1:1 basis and in groups. I’m highly enthusiastic, friendly and an excellent communicator, with a passion for children’s education. I am DBS cleared. Through a tailored approach to learning, I can help your child overcome any subject challenges and make progress, so your child feels ready to start the next school year with full confidence. • English (KS1 & KS2 Reading, Writing, Grammar) – once your child is assessed, any weaknesses can be identified and tackled first. This may be needing extra help with phonics to improve speech and spelling or creative writing and idea formation. All sessions are made fun and interesting to encourage learning. • Maths (KS1 & KS2) – sessions can be focussed around topics your child needs help with, such as times tables, fractions, decimals, telling the time or money. All concepts are simplified, so your child will be able to use and recall them during school.11 Plus – being fully prepared is crucial for success. Proven techniques are explained, so your child will know how to tackle each question, helping to save time and feeling like they’ve done their best. • SATs – SATs booster classes for year 2 and year 6. • Social & Emotional Wellbeing – a good understanding about how the recent epidemic has affected children’s wellbeing is crucial for continual successful learning. I have carried out extensive research on how children’s mental health may have been affected by the events of the past few months. I can help your child through this by dealing with their emotions related to anxiety and attachment from being at home for so long.
