Cyber security research team Information, Network and System Security (INSSec) belongs to the research laboratory of Parallel and Distributed Systems and Networks (PDSN) in University of West Attica. It promotes research in the field of Cybersecurity and covers a wide range of issues in the Security of Information and Communication Systems and Networks.
We aim at innovation in theoritical level and methods for its application to modern cybersecurity problems and the cooperation of the academic community with government and military organizations.
The members of the team participate in Capture the Flag type competitions with the aim of ethical hacking, the assessment of system weaknesses and the threats that exist in cyberspace. At the same time, they are involved in cyber security projects at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
