Montpellier SupAgro is a public institution of higher education and research, under the Ministry of agriculture, food and forestry. Its campus areas are mainly located in Languedoc-Roussillon and Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur (South France). Created after the merging in January 2007 of four institutions : - National School of Agronomy Montpellier (ENSA.M) Agro.M - National Centre for Agronomic Studies warm regions (CNEARC) - Department agribusiness warmer regions of the National School of Agriculture and Food Industries (ENSIA-SIARC) - Center for Educational experiments Florac (CEP Florac) Montpellier SupAgro it's: - 1650 students including 27% international students from 90 different countries - 80 academic and senior scientists - 450 administrative and technical staff - 4 Research & Training Departments - 4 Support Departments - 3 institutes specialized in training and expertise: Institute for Higher Education in Vine & Wine, Institute for Higher Education Tropical Agri-food Industry & Rural Development, Institute for Education in Agro-Environment ( SupAgro Florac) - 1 training center (School of shepherds in Salon-de-Provence) - 22 joint research units and 3 joint technological units - 2 Estates & Experimental Farms (Domaine du Chapitre- Domaine du Merle) - 1 site business incubation : AgroValo Mediterranean - 1 academic foundation : SupAgro Foundation ( www.supagro.fr/fondation/ ) The institution offers a range of training and vocational training courses characterized the support of research teams reknowned in the agricultural fields.
