The Institute for Natural Resources and Sustainable Development (INRSD) is a multi-stakeholder supported ‘think-do tank’ on natural resources and sustainable development that combines research and policy dialogue in an institutional framework, with a strategic vision of supporting long-term sustainability in natural resource sectors, environment and sustainable development. It examines critical issues in areas of natural resource governance and management, the roles and responsibilities of emerging and foreign investment actors, the nexus between security, conflict and natural resources, linkages between technology and sustainable development, and the management of natural resources in conditions of environmental and climate change. It encompasses a comprehensive set of evidence-based regional hubs, research programmes, and projects. Partnering with international organizations and continental bodies, universities, NGOs and private sector actors, the INRSD provides a research-base critical to supporting leading public, private, and social sector actors.
