At the Intrinsic Dialogical Education Association (IDEA), we are dedicated to empowering youth through the art of dialogue. Our mission is to provide students aged 12-18 with essential skills in public speaking, storytelling, and debate, fostering confidence, advocacy, and a strong sense of identity.
Our Services
Public Speaking Training: We offer comprehensive workshops that help students develop their public speaking abilities, enhancing their confidence and communication skills.
Competitive Storytelling: Our storytelling programs encourage creativity and expression, allowing students to share their unique narratives while honing their presentation skills.
Participant-Led Debates: We facilitate debates on topics chosen by the students, promoting critical thinking, respectful dialogue, and informed advocacy.
IDEA integrates culturally conscious models and trauma-informed practices, creating a supportive and inclusive environment. Our approach is guided by the principle of Two-Eyed Seeing, blending Indigenous and Western perspectives to provide a well-rounded educational experience.
