Insurance Fairness Project

The Insurance Fairness Project is an effort to explore solutions for America’s ongoing home insurance crisis. Insurers and politicians are leaving homeowners in the lurch, even as climate disasters hit harder and more frequently than ever. Property insurers are raising rates, cutting coverage, and leaving many homeowners without the protection they need when disaster strikes. It’s happening everywhere. And insurers and regulators are putting the burden on ordinary people – who have to handle the costs of rebuilding themselves. We need a plan. If we do nothing, millions of people could lose their homes. Communities will be damaged or destroyed. And our entire economy could feel the consequences – just like it did during the 2008 economic crisis.
