INTBAU Hungary was established in 2025 by Adam Ragab with the goal of supporting and revitalizing Hungary's rich architectural heritage through traditional building methods, sustainable urbanism, and architecture. Our organization seeks to bridge the gap between modern development and cultural preservation, especially in cities like Budapest, where the tension between heritage and new construction is growing. Our mission is to advocate for sustainable practices that respect historical context while adapting to contemporary needs. What we do: - Networking INTBAU Hungary aims to create an active network of individuals and institutions dedicated to protecting, maintaining, designing, studying, and promoting traditional building, architecture, and urbanism. - Public Awareness and Education Our initial priority is to launch educational and public awareness programs to promote traditional building methods in Hungary. - Project Advisory As part of our broader mission, our aim is to develop strong working relationships with key market players, including local authorities, developers, and planners, to advocate for the integration of these methods into public and private projects. - Strengthening International Collaboration To collaborate with universities and research institutions in conducting studies on masterplanning, integrating traditional methods with modern urban solutions, as well as to promote rural rehabilitation and biodiversity projects and practices.
