It is suitable to sulphides, oxides and other mineral forms, in concentrates, tailings, ores and some industrial wastes. The ‘Intec Process’ is a suite of related hydrometallurgical technologies developed to unlock value from mineral concentrate and industrial waste feedstocks. Supported by over 200 international patents across seven patent ‘families’, the Intec Process can extract and recover copper, lead, zinc, nickel, gold, silver and other base and precious metals from a wide range of materials. Intec’s technology offers a cheaper, cleaner alternative to conventional smelting for base metal mineral feedstocks, and a non-cyanide alternative for gold-bearing materials. It can produce valuable metal products from waste materials that would conventionally be disposed to landfill, and in many cases can offer a zero-waste recycling option for these industrial wastes.
