We believe that mental health is strongly undervalued. However, statistics clearly show a wondering scenario in which almost half of the population faces mental health issues in their lifetime. Thanks to Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence algorithms, IntelliHearts aims to democratize and decentralize access to medical technologies providing high accuracy through affordable smartphone and wearable devices. This approach ensures continuous monitoring of emotional parameters, useful to the patient to better understand and contextualize themselves and for caregivers to have access to data and parameters previously inaccessible. We can detect the emotional state of the user, just by analysing the ECG and using such a piece of information to provide a different level of results, both quantitative and qualitative, in line with the user preferences. Understanding our own emotions and tracking them during a period of time can even facilitate communication with patients in critical conditions, such as lock-in syndrome, or help in monitoring the effects of a certain psychological and/or psychiatric treatment.
