About Interdisciplinary Clinical & Academic Program (ICAP)

In 2010, Dr. Guzick and UF Health Leadership created the Interdisciplinary Clinical and Academic Programs (ICAP). One of the four ICAPs, the Neuromedicine ICAP (NICAP) consists of institutional leaders, faculty, fellows, residents, staff, and both graduate and undergraduate interns. The Quality Improvement branch of the ICAP aims to address a variety of projects focused on the institutional Big Aims of Quality: Zero Harm, Reduce Variation, Increase Value and Transform Culture, all for the mission of Achieving the Perfecting of the Patient Experience. Under the guidance of Jacqueline Baron-Lee, PhD, the ICAP Quality Improvement program has created an internship that has grown to 140 students to meet the needs of patients across UF Health.
