Interdisciplinary Research and Educational Services (IRES) was founded in 2020 in response to demand brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. IRES is an educational service company focusing on co-operative education and experiential learning, as well as community-based service learning. We work with school boards across Ontario and post-secondary institutions across Canada to provide rich, authentic, real-world and relevant interdisciplinary and inquiry-based experiential learning placements in research, education, and STEM/STEAM fields. All of our placements are focused on essential and transferable skills development, as well as developing skills within research and scientific literacy.
