The bank was incorporated in Nigeria as a limited liability company on 23rd April, 1992 under the companies and allied matter act Cap C20 LFN 2004 with registration number RC 195256. The bank thereafter commenced operation as a microfinance bank on 19th August, 2009 after it obtained approval from Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to transform from a community bank to a Microfinance Bank
