International Development Enterprise (IDE)

Opus Buddhe, a registered nurse with further studies in social development and project management has spend more than 20 years experience working within the non profit management sector with NGO in the Southeast Asian countries; Lao PDR, Vietnam, Cambodia, Burma border and Thailand. He became to realize for the livelihoods system of people in rural communities being embedded within the environmental contexts which could be described for its characteristic as CDR; complexity (C), diversities (D) and resource prone (R). This CDR context has inevitably placed rural communities within a greater risks and threat of being survived and becoming self-reliance in their local livelihood system. With his strong passionate on the social development practice, he established a development organization; International Development Enterprise (IDE) as a social enterprise in late 2016 with an overall aim of partnering with individual, organizations, movements and other change agents to address issues of effectiveness, accountability, participation and systemic change for a world that is better for all of us. IDE aims to develop its own initiative models for development intervention that support change makers to shift power and perceptions in order to challenge systemic oppression and hold duty bearers to account. VISION: IDE has its vision to alleviate human suffering through process of poverty eradication in human societies globally. MISSION: IDE has is mission in developing an innovative learning mechanism that can empowering the marginalized poor and disadvantage groups of people to develop and strengthen their self-reliance capacities in addressing their own needs and to live with dignity in the competitive world of politico-economic globalization, through the process of conducting social change in four core strategic areas of global health, effective learning process, food security and income generation.
