ISEC focuses on the global communication of the concept of space elevators. We believe that the Earth Space Elevator is ready for Engineering Development, facilitated by the rapid ongoing development of the candidate material (single crystal graphene) for the construction of a 100,000 km tether.

ISEC's plan of action is based upon yearly themes and studies, with an annual Conference. The latest study addresses the Tether/Climber Interface, published earlier in 2023 : see the website for details of all other studies.
