Interpeer gUG

The Interpeer Project’s objective is to empower a human centric internet. In practice, this currently takes the form of a technological initiative with the goal of providing a secure and efficient peer-to-peer networking stack. Privacy is a human right. Protocols that require third party servers to view our communications in plain text undermine this human right, and place the burden to protect our privacy on external entities which pursue their own interests. Unfortunately, HTTP, the web's protocol, works in just that way. This has to stop for the Internet to be for the people again.
