About International Network of STEM for the Blind and Low-Vision, Inc.
Welcome to the first and only nonprofit organization in the United States whose work focuses on STEM education and careers for the blind and low-vision population! [Establishment] The International Network of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) for the Blind and Low-Vision (BLV) was founded by Dr. Ying-Ting Chiu with Dr. M. Şahin Bülbül (co-founder) on November 19, 2021, to connect people in different countries to facilitate the growth of STEM for BLV at the international level. On February 5, 2023, the federal government of the United States determined the Network a public charity under IRC Section 501(c)(3) effective October 21, 2022. The Network is headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. Its EIN is 92-0912331. [Our Mission] To connect people worldwide who are interested or specialized in STEM for the blind and low-vision to facilitate the growth of the field as a united global community.
