Realizing that foreigners often face difficulties due to culture and language barriers that make them hard to adapt to local life, the INTO Team is introducing the INTO App, setting China as the starting point. “INTO” App is a “peer to peer” platform that connects “foreign travelers/residents in China” with “problem-solving bilingual assistants”; these "online assistants”, registered on the “INTO”-platform, can assist foreigners in China by linking them to local convenience services such as visa application, house rental, mail delivery, etc.
While INTO is not the direct service provider, the platform’s registered assistants can eliminate both cultural and communicational barriers between English-speaking ex-pats and Chinese-speaking local service providers. Users simply tell the assistants their needs and problems, then the assistants will resolve these issues upon commands.
Like other P2P platforms such as Airbnb and Uber, the INTO platform is also a “market creator” in the sharing economy, providing a platform that utilizes idle resources, allowing one party to solve problems while another party to earn an income.
