International Veterinary Vaccinology Network

International Veterinary Vaccinology Network company information, Employees & Contact Information

The International Veterinary Vaccinology Network (IVVN) is a global community of scientists and industry partners working together to develop vaccines for significant animal diseases. Livestock agriculture supports the livelihoods of 1.7 billion people worldwide, playing a crucial role in the economies of LMICs. These industries provide nutrient-rich and high-value products essential for food security and combating malnutrition. As global populations grow, so does the demand for these products. However, veterinary diseases have devastating effects on animal welfare, human health, livelihoods, and LMIC economies. Vaccines are the most effective tools to combat these diseases. Yet, for many pathogens, effective vaccines are either unavailable or not accessible where they are most needed. Developing and deploying vaccines is a complex, multidisciplinary process involving immunology, epidemiology, industrial biotechnology, and economics. Overcoming technical and logistical challenges often requires collaboration across international teams. Unfortunately, opportunities to form these critical partnerships are limited—particularly for diseases relevant to LMICs. The IVVN is committed to bridging this gap by fostering collaborations and supporting innovation through four core areas: 1. Networking: Facilitating global connections and knowledge sharing. 2. Scientific Collaboration: Funding research projects and lab exchanges to tackle vaccine bottlenecks. 3. Training: Supporting early career scientists to build future expertise. 4. Gender Equality: Promoting opportunities for women in veterinary vaccinology to foster a more inclusive research environment. Since 2017, the IVVN has welcomed 2,300 members from 93 countries, building a collaborative community advancing veterinary vaccinology worldwide. Join us and be part of this global effort.
