FLIPoQ's innovative 4-axis technology by invAirted3D will enable the sustainable production of additive manufactured plastic components in original material quality as a service, in contract manufacturing in a certified
production environment, through to direct marketing of the equipment. In the future, 3D-printed components will be generated on a large scale in Fused Layer Manufacturing (FLM) with 4 instead of the usual 3 production axes and the usual ease of operation of the equipment. "FLIPoQ - Functional Large Isotropic Printed parts in original material Quality" opens up completely new markets for additive manufactured components based on a new process technology. The technology also strengthens the sustainability of the plastics processing industry by reducing the amount of material used and cutting the cycle time of the often energy-intensive processes.
FLIPoQ is an EXIST research transfer project at the University of Applied Sciences Darmstadt.
