Invisible Scars was founded with the intention of providing survivors of domestic violence and abuse (DVA) with a confidential, non-judgmental, compassionate, and inclusive space where they got any support they needed. The goal of Invisible Scars was to raise awareness of DVA by shifting the narrative away from it as a gendered issue and toward it being a behavioural problem and usher in some policy level changes to the way DVA redressal was happening.
We assist survivors by guiding them to DVA resources such as police, legal, mental health, and shelters. We also provide them with financial assistance for food/rations, rent, medical/legal help, skill and capacity building, and other ad hoc needs. Currently Invisible Scars works for all forms of Gender Based Violence
At Invisible Scars Foundation our attempt is to be as inclusive as possible, so a majority of the content we share is gender neutral, so that any survivor of any gender or age can identify with the content
