IOBA is the Eye Institute of the University of Valladolid (Spain). We are fully dedicated to research, patient care and post-graduate education in Ophthalmology and Vision Sciences.
Our main objective is the development of cutting-edge multidisciplinary research and the direct transfer to the patient care. Within our research activities we highlight the participation in clinical trials, the controlled environment laboratory (CELab), unique for ocular surface studies, and our experience in the evaluation of the safety of medical devices.
IOBA has implemented a management system based on the UNE ISO Guideline 9001, and it is certified with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP). Both facilitate the transfer of IOBA latest scientific advances to patients/market under the highest quality standards. IOBA founded Vision R&D the first spin-off of the University of Valladolid.
In addition, IOBA offers highly specialized clinical services based on innovative therapies, efficiency and ethical principles.
