“Iodico” specializes in production of resublimed iodine and antiseptics.
The plant is located in the Neftchala region of Azerbaijan Republic, in close proximity to the Khillinsky and Neftchala’s iodine-bromine brine deposits. The main reserves of iodine in brines or caliche ore are in Japan, Chile, USA, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Indonesia. Azerbaijan was estimated to have 170,000 tons of iodine reserves, 4th largest after Japan, Chile, USA.
Up to 80 wells operated by the company in the designated 583.5 ha fields. The 80 wells daily pump up to 20,000 m3 of brine to annually produce 200 tons of iodine.
The resublimed iodine with assay not less than 99.5% is exported mainly to China, India, EU, CIS and others.
