iPlead is a legal information website.
It is under development as a stratified social network for those with an interest in law. Its users are divided into 4 main groups:
Public - Those who want to know the law.
Students - As above, but who also want to be known to lawyers.
Academics - Those who want to be known to know the law.
Professionals - Those who practice what they know.
The focus is on providing useful information to members, while also providing live data for analysis with a view to refining the legal "semantic web" and enabling cross-jurisdictional comparisons of what's changing, and where.
It is NOT a source of legal advice, but is dedicated to the provision of crowd-sourced and moderated free legal information.
