About IPM in Healthcare Facilities Project
Welcome to the Integrated Pest Management (IPM) in Healthcare Facilities Project, providing pro bono consulting to healthcare facilities on prioritized IPM facility programs to ensure the protection of patients and staff from unnecessary exposures to pests - and pesticides that are all too often linked to the very illnesses patients are being treated for. Our project, conducted by the Maryland Pesticide Education Network, is funded by Maryland foundations, which support our providing free services to participating facilities on sustainable pest management solutions. We prioritize patient safety and well-being above all else, creating a healing environment that adheres to the principle of "first do no harm." At the IPM in Healthcare Facilities project, we specialize in prioritized Integrated Pest Management (IPM) techniques, focusing on non-chemical pest prevention and intervention with least-toxic pesticides only used as a last resort. Our free educational materials, webinars, and facility-specific consultation combines proactive strategies, education, and sustainable practices to deliver effective pest management solutions tailored to the unique requirements of healthcare settings. With our 17 years of expertise in healthcare facility pest management, we can provide input on a facility's immediate pest-intervention concerns while also assisting in establishing long-term pest-prevention measures. Our services include: - Confidential vendor service ticket reviews with feedback and recommendations on the vendor's implementation of an IPM program - Staff training on best IPM practices - Model facility IPM policies, vendor contracts, free on-demand webinars, and more. Visit our website for more information. Together, let's build a healthier future for healthcare facilities in Maryland and beyond. Join our mailing list: https://lp.constantcontactpages.com/sl/GlKj3dW
