IPMPC

The International Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Privacy Consortium (IPMPC) aims to provide a cost-effective means for multinational pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies to stay informed of and assess the implications of developments in global data privacy and security laws. The IPMPC focuses on emerging privacy issues that impact patient health, medical research, and the operations of its member companies. It provides a forum for companies to share ideas, experiences, and resources, including context-specific tools and guidance. By fostering the development of industry benchmarks and best practices, individual members can compare their understanding of emerging data protection laws as well as their privacy compliance efforts and approaches with those of similarly situated companies. The IPMPC provides a vehicle to engage policy makers on how to protect individual privacy while still enabling the delivery of safe and effective medical technologies. As technologies and laws change, the IPMPC works to promote compliance and understand evolving standards.
