UGent Science Academy

Our Science Academy (formerly IPVW-ICES) is part of the Faculty of Science of Ghent University (Belgium). We organize events and courses on scientific subjects aimed at professionals in the industry as well as researchers in academia. In doing so we form an active link between both worlds and with UGent alumni. Our offer includes a wide variety of activities ranging from (short) courses on statistical data analysis, biotechnology, synthetic materials, Python etc. to free evening lectures for the broad public on research within the faculty and study days for high school teachers. To meet the needs of our course members we appeal to teachers within and outside UGent who are experts in the course topic. Emphasis is on practical application so course members can transfer the gained knowledge and skills directly to their job and research.
