iQuipu stands for Solid Software Engineering. That is remarkable in two distinct ways: first of all, not everyone considers developing software an engineering discipline. The iQuipu philosophy is that building sofware is much more similar to building bridges and roads than ICT professionals dare admit. Software development is not an artform, it is a (rather creative) engineering discipline. The other important half of the iQuipy philosophy is the Solid part. It not only stands for reliability, but emphasizes the importance of SOLID software. SOLID actually is an acronym describing the properties of a well designed, implemented and maintained software system. Software developed according to these principles will be slightly more expensive to start with, but will have a much lower maintenance cost profile and thus yield a faster ROI.
