IR Dynamics (IRD), a New Mexico based nanotechnology company, has developed a new energy-saving glass that automatically adjusts to outside conditions to reduce heating and cooling costs for residential and commercial buildings. Preliminary studies show that IRD’s Delta-T-Glass can reduce energy losses by as much as 32% over dual pane glass. In addition, this adaptive glass will increase occupant comfort, reduce sound penetration, and block 100% of destructive UV rays.
