دبیرخانه برنامه ملی آیندهنگاری علم و فناوری ایران در سال 1393با تصویب هیات وزیران در معاونت سیاستگذاری و توسعه معاونت علمی، فناوری و اقتصاد دانشبنیان ریاست جمهوری تشکیل شد. هدف این دبیرخانه ایجاد هوشمندی در میان ذینفعان مختلف (سیاستگذاران، پژوهشگران، شرکتها و جامعه) و حرکت به سوی جامعهای هوشمند و آ گاه به فرصتها و تهدیدهای آینده و آ گاه از پاسخهای حوزه علم و فناوری به چالشهای پیش رو است.
