IRCAD, AITS is a first of its kind minimally invasive surgery (MIS) training institute established in Taiwan in collaboration with the IRCAD, EITS (http://www.ircad.fr/) three years ago. Since its establishment; IRCAD, AITS has trained over 2000 surgeons in MIS. It is involved in leading research towards software solutions in medical imaging and diagnostics, surgical planning and navigation, medical instrumentation, augmented reality in surgery.
OUR VISION:
- Establish an international minimal invasive surgery training center in Taiwan.
- Training in cutting-edge equipment towards minimal invasive surgery for clinical practice and in further research.
- Cultivate surgeons and provide them with minimal invasive surgery training environment in order to increase awareness of usage of minimal invasive surgical techniques domestically and internationally.
- To provide a platform for academic research towards enhancements in medical diagnostics and surgery .
