Interdisciplinary Research Center for Intelligent Secure Systems

The recently established Interdisciplinary Research Center for Intelligent Secure Systems (IRC-ISS) at KFUPM aims to reinvigorate research endeavors in the realms of Cybersecurity and Artificial Intelligence (AI), as well as their convergence. Serving as a pivotal research hub, the center will bring together faculty, students, and researchers from diverse departments, spanning Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Global and Social Studies, and various others. IRC-ISS is poised to assume a prominent role in addressing formidable challenges associated with the design and implementation of intelligent security systems, ensuring both physical and cyber security. With a focus on fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, the center is anticipated to be at the forefront of advancing knowledge and solutions in the realms of secure intelligent systems. Research endeavors within IRC-ISS will be organized around four key areas: AI & Security, Secure Systems, Resilient Cyberinfrastructure, and Post-Quantum Cybersecurity. Through the exploration of these domains, the center's affiliated researchers will contribute to groundbreaking advancements in the broader field of intelligent and secure systems.
