Institut de recherche en mines et environnement

L’Institut de recherche en mines et environnement (IRME) UQAT-Polytechnique a été fondé en 2013 par l’Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue et Polytechnique Montréal. Unique au Québec, ce programme de recherche conjoint a été créé en association avec plusieurs partenaires miniers. Axé sur l’environnement et la gestion des rejets miniers, l’Institut de recherche vise le développement de solutions environnementales pour l’ensemble du cycle de vie d’une mine. The Research Institute on Mines and Environment (RIME) UQAT-Polytechnique was founded in 2013 by the Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue and Polytechnique Montréal. The only one of its kind in Quebec, this joint research program was created in association with several mining industry partners. Focused on the environment and taillings management, the Research Institute develops innovative environmental solutions for the entire life cycle of a mine.
