Iron Bridge was purchased by Velvet Energy Ltd. in 2018. Iron Bridge is a junior oil and gas company focused on one of the most exciting Montney Oil plays in Western Canada. Restructured from RMP Energy, our portfolio consists of approximately 53,000 acres of land in the Elmworth area of Alberta, with the capital to develop it. Our new management team consists of some of the leaders in high intensity multi-frac horizontal drilling. The name is new. The story is over 250 years old. Ironbridge Gorge and the Iron Bridge itself, is located in Shropshire England and is recognized as one of the birthplaces of the Industrial Revolution. It was here in 1709 that Abraham Darby perfected the technique of producing pig iron in a blast furnace fueled by coke rather than coal allowing for much cheaper production of iron. The name reflects the Company’s focus on innovation and cost efficiency in the unconventional resource revolution. Our team has drilled hundreds of multi-frac horizontal wells for two of the leading large E&Ps in Canada. With the massive pace of change in drilling and completion technology in the last few years, we believe that only this hands-on experience can produce the industry leading costs that are necessary to compete in today’s commodity price environment.
