ISAAA AfriCenter

ISAAA AfriCenter is committed to achieving agricultural transformation and fostering a healthier planet for future generations in Africa. Our vision and mission statements form the foundation of our strategy to contribute to the achievement of select Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the African Union Agenda 2063. We capitalize on our strengths and leverage on our existing partnerships and collaborations to achieve these goals. Specifically, our focus is on SDG 2, 3, 7 and 18 on Zero Hunger, Health and Well being, Affordable and Clean Energy, and Partnerships respectively. These SDGs align with the Agenda 2063’s goals to promote sustainable agriculture and food security, and to address environment sustainability and climate change. We contribute to the realization of these goals by creating an enabling environment for bio-innovations and One Health practice through effective science communication, convening multidisciplinary actors and forming strategic alliances with like-minded partners.
