International Student Advisory Council (ISAC)

The International Student Advisory Council (ISAC) is a student led professional organization founded at Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, in 2012. We empower international, exchange, and American students to succeed and to help others succeed in academics, career, and communication. Value Proposition: 1. Make Career Connections & References - Develop relationships with high achieving students, faculty related to major/interest, and companies 2. Build deep friendships & accountability- Be with supportive people who understand you; stay accountable to your goals, dreams, leadership, etc 3. Make a meaningful impact-see students reach full potential, learn from diverse people Programs We Provide • Host Workshops & Events- provide academic, career, and communication skills to connect with domestic students, professors, and companies • Connect with International Miami Alumni- facilitate job connections and job placements in the United States • Collect and Analyze Data to identify key issues for international students and reason for communication gap between international and domestic • Collaborate and Identify Solutions with other student organization leaders, management, and faculty to solve the communication and opportunity gap. • Create opportunities for Exec and committee members to apply skills from their major
