About ISACA Austria Chapter
ISACA Austria Chapter was founded in 1998 as an association for IT auditing and IT control and is the local chapter of ISACA International. The association, which has more than 650 members in Austria, aims to promote and develop the following areas: auditing of IT systems and IT processes, IT security and IT risk management, accompanying control of IT processes and IT systems, IT governance and IT compliance, as well as management and control of IT by the company management. These goals are achieved by: Development of principles and methods for the areas of IT audit, security, governance and compliance as well as accompanying controls of IT systems and IT processes; their continuous adaptation to business, organizational and technical developments; scientific and practical training of members in this regard; exchange of information and events (e.g. TrendTalks, webcasts, conferences); intensifying cooperation between academia and practice in these areas; funding for scientific and other subject-oriented work in the field of examination; Networking, initiating and maintaining relationships with similar institutions abroad, especially with the ISACA organizations in the DACH region and ISACA International as well as with the professional groups relevant to these areas.
