The International School Chess Federation (ISCF) is a newly established global organization affiliated with the International Chess Federation (FIDE), dedicated to promoting chess among schoolchildren worldwide. Its mission is to unite national school chess associations and support the integration of chess into school curricula across continents, with initial focus on Asia, Africa, and the Americas.
ISCF aims to provide resources, guidance, and collaboration opportunities to help countries develop effective school chess programs that enhance students' knowledge, critical thinking, and academic skills. Led by Timur Turlov, president of Kazakhstan’s Chess Federation, ISCF operates with the backing of FIDE and coordinates closely with FIDE’s Chess in Education Commission to advance chess as an academic tool and a bridge connecting cultures globally.
