The primary mission of the engineering office iSEA Tec is innovation in civil engineering. Our team has a strong experience in the design and engineering of bridges and lightweight structures as well as structural dynamics and structural monitoring. The symbiosis between these technically complex fields provides a solid basis for the identification of potentials for innovative methods and processes in civil engineering. Their exploitation is part of the business philosophy of iSEA Tec. Innovative approaches for form-finding and structural optimization can be used to develop elegant, efficient and economic structures. The structures designed by our team are characterized above all by great slenderness and lightweight, which allows ever more ambitious architectural designs. An important aspect related to lightweight structures is that they are usually prone to higher level of vibrations due to their lower stiffness and structural mass. Thanks to our in-depth knowledge of structural dynamics and structural engineering, we can easily solve all problems of this type. Futhermore, our expertise in structural dynamics combined with our knowledge and experience in the field of structural measurements forms the basis for our second area of activity: the monitoring of existing structures. We design and install monitoring systems for various civil engineering applications and analyze the measurement data for an accurate assessment of the structural condition over time. In combination with detailed structural analyses, the monitoring data allow us in many cases to optimize the remaining service life of existing structures. iSEA Tec is based in Friedrichshafen, Germany. However, our services exceed the national borders and we are excited to tackle interesting challenges all around the world.
