Independent School End Sexual Violence Coalition

The “Independent School End Sexual Violence Coalition” (ISESVC) is a youth-led coalition of students dedicated to promoting anti-sexual violence mobilization across campuses. The organization strives to facilitate community-based anti-sexual violence efforts, encourage collaboration among community members, bolster ongoing campus initiatives, foster new forms of advocacy and activism, and provide a space for any and all stakeholders passionate about ending sexual violence at independent schools. What distinguishes ISESVC from other projects is that it is the only youth-led and cross-campus anti-sexual violence coalition specifically for students at independent schools. The focus is strictly on independent schools as the overwhelming majority do not provide consent education, sexual violence awareness, or adequate sexual misconduct policies since they are not at risk of losing federal funding. Given that the operations are entirely youth-led and student-centric, ISESVC has cultivated multiple partnerships with peer schools across the country and integrated their concerns into its working list of intentions. By forming these partnerships, ISESVC has worked to strengthen mutual efforts.
