ISHARA

ISHARA is an International Organisation committed to addressing youth cognitive health, environmental sustainability, and community development through innovative, research-led programmes. With a foundation built on years of thoughtful planning and prioritisation, ISHARA focuses on creating solutions that address the real needs of society. Founded in 2012 and formally registered as an international NGO in 2022 both in Sweden and Tanzania and with a bureau in the UK, ISHARA operates with a diverse team of approximately 10 therapists and psychotherapists, and scientists, working collaboratively to deliver impactful initiatives. Key programmes include Eco-Darasa, which transforms classrooms into hubs for environmental awareness and sustainability, equipping future generations with the tools to protect the planet. Another flagship initiative, Chezanasi (“Play with us” in Swahili), seeks to revitalise neglected spaces, such as landfills, into vibrant community hubs like playgrounds and sports fields, fostering connection and growth. Registered in both Sweden and Tanzania, ISHARA is dedicated to building a sustainable and supportive future while promoting cognitive health and environmental care, driving meaningful change for communities around the world.
