iShip, Inc.

In 1993, a group of West Coast technology visionaries launched into the shipping business when UPS contracted with them to develop a professional shipping solution. The resulting application became one of the most popular shipping software packages in the world, responsible for shipping well over 1 billion packages annually. In 1997, the team founded iShip.com, determined to revolutionize shipping in the online marketplace. iShip processed their first package over the internet in 1998. Soon after, Mail Boxes Etc. signed on as the launch customer for the new service. Stamps.com purchased iShip.com in 1999, to become the leading provider of Internet-based mailing and shipping services. In 2001, United Parcel Service purchased the iShip business and the company was renamed iShip, Inc.. iShip continues to develop customizable multicarrier solutions, including mobile options and unique reverse logistics technology, to meet the needs of large volume retailers, shipping centers, university campuses and more.
