The ISHR is the only truly international organisation supporting and promoting the interests of cardiovascular research scientists in every part of the world.
The mission of the ISHR European Section (ISHR-ES) is to promote the discovery and dissemination of knowledge in the cardiovascular sciences on a Europe-wide basis as part of the world-wide ISHR community.
Membership is open to any individual (with or without MD or PhD) who is actively interested in any aspect of experimental or clinical research in the cardiovascular system.
The ISHR:
- Promotes exchange of ideas on a world-wide basis between scientists and clinicians interested in all aspects of cardiovascular biology and medicine
- Promotes discovery and dissemination of knowledge in all areas of cardiovascular biology and medicine
- Organises and supports national and international congresses devoted to all aspect of cardiovascular research
- Provides an international forum for discussion of problems and controversies at the cutting edge of cardiovascular research
- Publishes a world class journal devoted to advances in cardiovascular research: Journal of Molecular and Cellular Cardiology (JMCC)
