Construction Machinery Cluster (İŞİM) / Ostim Organized Industrial Zone The construction sector in Ankara becomes a center where is the production of any kind of heavy and construction machines intensively and it increases its heavy capacity together with the experience of production to public and private sector within years. Most of the companies in this sector produce spare parts for major machine producers in this sector. Construction Machinery Cluster (İŞİM) has 139 members; it consists of sub sectors as; Light Construction Machines, Earthmoving Machines and Spare Parts, Concrete Plants, Crushing-Screening Facilities, Asphalt Plants, On Vehicle Equipment, Transmitter – Conveyor Systems etc. Clustering means correlating the companies and institutions together with them horizontally and vertically that is situated in a specific geographical region. First of all, in clustering, the Companies have some benefits from the advantages occurred as a result of the geographical neighborhood to each other. In addition to this, the challenges that cannot be performed alone by the companies due to insufficiency of the finance and human resources of the companies are performed when the companies act together.
