Islands Development Company

The Islands Development Company is a parastatal company incorporated on 29th April 1980 and is owned by the Seychelles Government. IDC has the responsibility for the sustainable development of Silhouette and the outer islands. The principal activity of IDC is the management and development of 14 islands, namely, Alphonse, Assomption, Astove, Coëtivy, Cosmoledo, Desnoeufs, Desroches, Farquhar, Ile Plate, Marie-Louise, Poivre, Providence, Rémire and Silhouette being the only inner island. IDC currently owns one subsidiary company (Green Island Construction Company Ltd). IDC operates its own aviation division to better service the islands and is also co-owner of the vessel Enterprise II under Paradise Marine, which it manages.
