Le Centre d’Etude pour l’Amélioration de l’Adaptation à la Sécheresse (CERAAS) est un centre de l’Institut Sénégalais de Recherches Agricoles (ISRA) et qui a une vocation régionale. Son mandat est de contribuer à améliorer l’adaptation à la sécheresse des espèces cultivées par la conduite de recherches et de formation. Le CERAAS a pour objectif principal d’identifier et de promouvoir les technologies et les innovations adaptées aux conditions climatiques et agroécologiques des pays en zones arides et semi-arides. Spécifiquement, le CERAAS doit contribuer à l’augmentation de la productivité agricole et au développement économique des populations en mettant à disposition ces technologies et innovations générées au Sénégal et de les diffuser aux pays de l’Afrique de l’Ouest et du Centre, voire au-delà.
