Formula SAE at Iowa State

The Iowa State Formula SAE Team is a student-run organization based in the Student Innovation Center at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. With a legacy of designing and building over 25 race cars, our team has the experience and drive to compete against top engineering programs from around the world. We’ve participated in 28 internal combustion (IC) competitions and have now fully transitioned to electric vehicle (EV) design to stay at the forefront of innovation and performance. Our success is made possible by the generous support of our sponsors. Many of our students go on to work for our sponsors after graduation, creating a strong and lasting partnership.
