IT IS 3D engages with the public, with the education sector and with corporates about the potential of 3D technologies. Talks, seminars, workshops and training are all part of IT IS 3D’s daily activity, both across the UK and overseas. In June 2016, IT IS 3D was commissioned to carry out its workshops and talks for a week in Shanghai, at the Mobile World Congress, introducing youngsters (and just as many adults) to the current and likely future impact of 3D technologies.

IT IS 3D are also working with a firm in France with a background in drones and autonomous systems that has developed (and continues to develop) a line of innovative distance and ranging sensors based on optical Time of Flight. These are frequently used for drone and mobile robot positioning, navigation and collision avoidance, but can serve many other use cases too, from robotics and automation to monitoring, presence detection and smart city / IoT style applications. In conjunction with Terabee, we often work with clients to apply sensors and intelligence (algorithms & control systems) to solve unique and specific challenges and use cases.
Our technology advantages are high performance, high speed sensing in small-size, lightweight and potentially very low cost form-factors and the ability to fuse data from multiple sensors.
