Founded in 1992, ITA’s concept has been to build an infrastructure for companies to move their operations and activities into international markets without the need to build from the ground up. Within a year, ITA had assumed the responsibility of introducing Nokia brand in the US using their data products before bringing their mobile phone line under the brand. ITA’s introduction and management of the Nokia brand was heralded as the first “Virtual Corporation” in the US by Forbs magazine in 1995 and the successful operations were acquired by Nokia in 1997. ITA has also brought other products to the US market, including the first retail ‘touch’ mouse, Touche, which was based on technology from Synaptics. Since 2010, ITA has been focused on the great potential in Turkey working with the investment community as well as manufacturers and entrepreneurs in identifying opportunities in both the Turkish market as well as developing exports for established manufacturers and service companies.
