Founded in 2017, It Takes A Village To Feed One Child (ITAVFOC) is 💛 Non-Profit addressing hunger & food insecurity in PA 🍎🥦🥛🍞🙏 .
Background
Our journey began in 2017 with Children's Place Preschool-Spring Garden, providing 400 meals and snacks monthly to low-income communities in Philadelphia. Today, we proudly deliver over 125,000 meals and snacks each month to 65+ child/adult centers across Philadelphia, Delaware, Chester, Montgomery, and Bucks Counties, as a State CACFP Sponsor.
Vision and mission
ITAVTFOC envisions a world where every individual, regardless of background, has access to nutritious food, fostering thriving communities and empowering lives.
Diversity
We are a 100% minority organization, both in staffing and on the board. Despite starting with a $0 revenue budget in 2017, we now operate with an annual budget close to 4-5 million, exclusively supporting child/adult centers in Pennsylvania. The majority of the clients we serve are from low-income, and disadvantaged backgrounds in some of the poorest communities in the state.
